Debut
Each watch has the dial rotated by 20 degrees. This means the 12 o'clock position is where the 3-4 minute mark is normally found (or 3-4 minutes to on watches for the right wrist), and this makes for more comfortable viewing on the wrist.
00 is shown at the top and not 60. A clock never displays 60 (e.g. 11:59.59 changes to 12:00.00). Each even minute and hour is marked so you're only ever one step from an indicated time.
Three orientations are used. 00 and 30 are horizontal, the first half of the dial radiates from the left and the second half radiates from the right. This makes reading the time as easy and clear as possible.
The sub-second is indicated by the Anderson Ross logo mark. This circle represents the watch face, and the cutaway at 20 degrees symobilises the rotation of the dial.
With the dial being rotated, tabs have been included in the case design to help draw the eye to the correct orientation. The tabs are at the top and bottom, as well as being rotated in both directions for symmetry, and for left and right wrist wearers.
Anderson Ross is proud to be born and engineered in Scotland, the tabs are also smybolic of the saltire on the nation's flag.
The Debut uses a titanium case for lightness, strength, and to benefit those with sensitive skin. The watch also features an integrated strap to prevent hair and debris being caught in the small gaps between case and strap.
