Every part of the Debut exists for a reason. Here's the whole journey - how the idea began, what it's made of, who helps us make it, and how it reaches you.
01 · The idea
It started with a frustration
Most watches are read at an angle, yet almost none are designed for it. We started from a blank page with a single question: what would a watch look like if it were built, honestly, to be read on the wrist? The answer was a dial rotated 20° - the angle your arm naturally sits at - so the time is clear at a glance, for everyone.
No off-the-shelf case, no borrowed design. Just the problem, and the discipline to keep only what earned its place.
02 · From sketch to concept
Refined until it was right
An idea is easy; a finished design is not. The Debut moved from sketches to detailed 3D models, then through rounds of refinement - the facets of the case, the reading tabs, the placement of every marker - each tested against one rule: does it make the watch better, or just busier? It's taken 10 years to get from the initial concept to today's Debut watch.
03 · Who makes it
Made with specialists we trust
We're open about how the Debut is made. Designing in Scotland doesn't mean pretending we forge every screw ourselves — it means choosing the right specialists for each part and holding them to our standard. Here's who does what.
- The caseMachined by precision engineers based in Scotland who are used to creating parts for the demands of the oil and gas industry.
- The dialFinished in-house in one of a number of selectable configurations.
- The movementManufactured by Swiss movement specialists Manufacture La Joux-Perret.
- The strapMade using waxed cotton from Dundee specialist Halley Stevensons who have over 150 years of experience with textiles.
- Assembly & regulationAssembled in-house.
04 · Materials
Chosen on purpose, not by default
A watch meant to last a lifetime should be made of things that last — and, where we can, things made responsibly.
- Grade 5 titanium caseStronger than steel and far lighter, so the Debut is built to be worn, not felt. It's also hypoallergenic and highly corrosion-resistant.
- CrystalSapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.
- StrapWaxed-cotton and Yulex® rubber for added comfort.
- MovementLa Joux-Perret F200: hand-wound, ultra-thin, and with an impressive 90-hour power reserve.
05 · Making & assembly
Brought together with care
Once the parts are made, the watch is assembled, regulated and checked by hand in Scotland. Each movement is regulated / timed to specification, each case inspected and finished, and every watch is given its individual number from the run of 240 before it's signed off.
06 · Made yours
The one that's yours
The Debut is a limited run of 240, and each is individually numbered - so no two owners have the same watch.

How it reaches you
When your Debut is ready, it's packaged and sent fully insured and tracked via DHL. We ship globally.
